New York Times source code stolen using exposed GitHub token

New York Times internal source code and data breached and leaked on 4chan forum. The breach, which occurred in January 2024, exposes 273 GB of sensitive information, including “basically all of the newspaper´s source code,” as the newspaper itself has confirmed.

The stolen information includes 5.000 repositories, of which less than 30 are encrypted, and a total of 3.6 million files.
